Created for clients with whom we had collaborated on two previous homes, this Lowcountry retreat reflects a deep understanding of how they live and entertain. That familiarity informed every aspect of the three-year project, from architectural planning through the final furnishings.
Inspired by the surrounding landscape, a palette of blues and greens carries throughout the house, including a particularly striking peacock blue baking kitchen. Separate studies and a cheerful craft and gift-wrapping room speak to the owners' individual pursuits. Among our favorite details are custom leaded-glass door panels, inspired by iron doors Elizabeth admired in Paris and beautifully executed by a Pennsylvania artisan.
